About the service
Looking after your children can be stressful and challenging at times. Keeping your Child in Mind is a group for parents and caregivers to help you work together in ways which support:
- growing children, and
- a calmer family life.
We use knowledge and research to increase parents’ understanding of the influence of parents’ relationships on children and young people. Conflict between parents and carers is a normal part of relationships and family life and not all conflict is damaging when resolved constructively.
This programme helps us think about what we do, why we do it and how it makes us all feel in the family.
The programme provides parents and caregivers with ways to constructively resolve conflicts in relationships, providing children with good role modelling that will:
- Improve their chance at healthier future relationships
- Do better at school
- Increase their employability chances
- Reduce the risk of depression and anxiety

What is covered
